You will receive a warm welcome from born and bred New Zealanders Ellie and John. Both Ellie and John are keen gardeners and grow enough organic fruit and vegetables for their own use, for guests to enjoy and enough left over to sell in their Garden Shop at Green Gables.
John is a traditional "good keen man" and enjoys trout and deepsea fishing and hunting. Ellie is very keen on baking, preserving her fruit and vegetables, and enjoys fishing with John if she has any spare time.

Your hosts have lived in Marlborough since 1976 so are well placed to advise you on all that Marlborough has to offer.
You may also see their shy cat Lucky.
Ellie and John know the area well and can advise on local attractions including the region's wineries, fishing, walking, boat trips in the Marlborough Sounds.
Green Gables as your wedding venue will provide a memorable location with a unique 1 acre garden setting ideal for small weddings, family and social gatherings.
